Psalm
24:7-10:
“Lift up your heads, you
gates; be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, you gates; lift them up,
you ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in. Who is he, this King of
glory? The Lord Almighty — he is the King of
glory.”
Those that have a very vague image
of God see him as an old guy sitting on the cloud and looking at the mess the
world is in without being able to change something about it. They have a very
wrong image of God. He created heavens and earth. He called all things into
existence. Anything that you see has been in the mind of God first. He then
spoke a word and it materialized. He has tremendous power not only to create,
but also to destroy what he has created. One day this earth will vanish,
because it is full of sin and refuses to repent before God, but for those who
love this King of glory He has prepared new heavens and new earth where
righteousness lives. Worship Him, because He is good for you. He uses his power
to help you, save you, not to condemn you. Reconcile with him before his judgment
is revealed.
