Lord is strength of his people

Psalm 28:8: “The Lord is the strength of his people, a fortress of salvation for his anointed one.

Do you feel weak? I bet we all sometimes do. In fact, this feeling often comes on us. Adverse circumstances may seem too difficult to overcome by our own strength. We lose all our energy trying to change those. Where do we find strength when this happens? Is it something material, emotional, and spiritual? I know the most reliable source of energy that is inexhaustible. God Almighty is that ultimate resource. If you are tired, go to him and draw from his strength. You will be renewed.

The Lord is my shepherd

Psalm 23:1: “The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”

God is referred to as a shepherd in the Bible a few times. The instances are found both in the old and the new testaments. Jesus calls himself a good shepherd too. We humans need guidance. We can get lost, discouraged, depressed and scared very often. People do not understand their destiny, do not know their future and often have no idea which direction in life they should take. We need God Almighty to help us and guide us in our decisions. He also comforts us when we are discouraged and gives us hope for a brighter future. Do not be like a goat that goes wherever it wants. Be an obedient Lord’s sheep that listens to his voice and follows only one Master. Continue reading all Psalm 23 to find out about more benefits of having God as your shepherd.
