Let us look today at Genesis 29:25:”
When morning came, there
was Leah! So Jacob said to Laban, “What is this you have done to me? I served
you for Rachel, didn’t I? Why have you deceived me? ”
I guess some of you do not
know what the idea of the extract is. You need to read the entire chapter to
understand better. The thing is that Jacob had served to Laban for his daughter
Rachel for seven years. However, when the time came Laban deceived Jacob by
giving him not Rachel, but his oldest daughter Leah.
What do we learn from this?
We learn that eternal law of sowing and reaping does work. What you sow you
shall also reap. Jacob deceived his brother Esau two times. He sowed deceit. Now
he is reaping it himself. And he will reap even more of it. What about the
blessing that he stole from his brother by deceiving Isaac. It did not really
work. For twenty years Jacob was working very hard till he finally (by the
miracle of God) started prospering.
He would later fight with
God to be blessed again! So, what kind of seeds are you sowing? Be careful
about it. God bless you.
