God is for you who can be against you

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" Romans 8:31. 

We Christians often have a wrong image of God. Due to sin, weakness, addictions we often feel unworthy of God's love and sometimes may even start thinking that God is against us. That is absolutely wrong. If you gave your life to Christ, God is for you. Only you and Satan can be against you. He forgave your sins and forgot them. You might still remember them, but He doesn't. Jesus took all of the wrath for your and my sins upon himself. Praise God. Next time, when Satan reminds you of your sins, tell him that God does not remember them. You might also remind him (Satan) of his future. God is not against you, He is for you. But He is against Satan. The fella is your real enemy. Do not listen to his voice. Read the word of God daily, soak in His love and always remember that He is on your side. Amen.

Shield of Faith

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked” Ephesians 6:16.

The devil is after your faith. The whole fight that is raging in your life is actually about your faith. The Lord wants it to grow; the enemy wants to kill it. Satan specializes in doubts, God Almighty in strengthening your convictions about His Word. Fiery darts come flying towards every Christian every single day. Some are injured, some even die, yet those who use their shield stand firm in the battle and overcome the enemy.

Put on All Armor of God

“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil” Ephesians 6:11. 

The kingdom of God is not only about peace. It is also about warfare against the powers of darkness. The devil with his armies are there trying to drag with himself as many souls as possible and we Christians have to fight him. We do need armor for that. There are spiritual battles happening across the world every single day in the same fashion as two or more opposing forces are fighting for influence somewhere in the world. We also fight for the souls of men and if we trust God we are going to win against Satan and empty hell from its captives.

Bible verse of the day 3

Hello, this is the third post on my blog and I continue giving you verses from the book of Genesis. Let us look at two verses from the third chapter 6-7: “When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves“.

Satan used Eve’s vision and hearing senses to temp her to eat the forbidden fruit. Nothing has changed since the times of the fall. Devil has been using the same strategies and methods to get to us and we humans learn too slowly to understand that and defend ourselves against these attacks of the enemy. 

Another thing is that sin looks very nice before we do it, but when we actually try it, our eyes open and we find ourselves in a very pitiful situation. We see that we are spiritually naked. Let us know that so that when the next time tempter comes we would be ready.
