Understanding Christ love

Ephesians 3:18: “..may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…”.

We often tend to think about God’s love in terms of ours. We think that He loves as much as we do. Some of us even think that we probably love one another more than He does. We think so, because we tend to define his love by the way we feel, circumstances we are in and other external things. The only way to define God’s love is to believe in what He did – gave His only begotten Son for us. That is the depth, the length, the height and the strength of his love.

Saved by grace

Ephesians 2:8-9: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God —  not by works, so that no one can boast.

I am so glad that Christ has done all the work of salvation on our behalf. We would never be able to save ourselves by our own efforts. They are futile. We are too sinful to save ourselves. Jesus was perfect and God needed a perfect sacrifice to redeem us. Praise God that He found one. Now, you and I can enjoy all the benefits of salvation. Be grateful for that.
