Let us look at Genesis 35:5:”Then they set out, and
the terror of God fell on the towns all around them so that no one pursued them.“
This excerpt
is directly connected with the one we studied yesterday. After the sons of
Jacob took revenge for the disgrace of their sister. Jacob collected all the
idols that his family had. This action attracted God’s protection and nobody
dared to pursue Jacob and his family. If God is for you who can be against you?
If you reject false gods and turn to the true One, nobody will dare to harm you
for Almighty God will stand for you. Let us turn away from all our idols.
