Verse on brevity of life

Psalm 39:5: „You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Everyone is but a breath, even those who seem secure.“

In comparison to eternity the length of human life is nothing. We are on a very short trip here. Life is a brisk journey. You will not notice when it is over. It will be so fast! Most people either do not comprehend that or do not want to think about it. We see and hear people die every day. A death of somebody you know makes you think about your purpose in life and the fragility of your own life. So, do not be too much preoccupied with investing too much of your time, efforts, money and dreams in this life. You do not know when it will end. It is more important to be ready to meet your Creator and to live in his kingdom forever.
