Chosen before creation of the world

Ephesians 1:4: “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight…” 

Many of us think that we found God and chose to follow Christ. The truth is that not we, but He found and chose us. It can be even said that He had us in his mind before creation of the world. We do know that a human was the last and the most awesome creature of God. However, you can be pretty sure that He thought a lot about creating somebody of the same kind He is. God was not happy to communicate with angels that were much inferior to him. 

Therefore, a God like human project was born – a creation that would look, think and have the power that God had. And the project was successful. Unfortunately, sin came and a lot has been lost since then. But let us not forget that Christ (who was also in the mind of God before creation) by dying on the cross put us back into a position with God that Adam and Eve had lost. So, let us be merry and rejoice in the wonderful destiny that had been preordained for us before any material thing was created.
