Psalm
23:1:
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.”
God is referred to as a shepherd in the Bible a few
times. The instances are found both in the old and the new testaments. Jesus
calls himself a good shepherd too. We humans need guidance. We can get lost,
discouraged, depressed and scared very often. People do not understand their
destiny, do not know their future and often have no idea which direction in
life they should take. We need God Almighty to help us and guide us in our
decisions. He also comforts us when we are discouraged and gives us hope for a
brighter future. Do not be like a goat that goes wherever it wants. Be an
obedient Lord’s sheep that listens to his voice and follows only one Master.
