The world is dominated by evil

Psalm 12:8: “who freely strut about when what is vile is honored by the human race.”

Do not be surprised when you sometimes (or often) see bad people in the place of honor and good people in the place of shame. It often happens that the reward of the wicked goes to the righteous and the reward of the righteous goes to the wicked. How is that? The world is dominated by evil and evil rules till the kingdom of God comes in flesh. For some, it will be at the time of their death. Others (at some point in history) will see it becoming a reality with their physical eyes.

Christians are patiently waiting for God’s kingdom to rule on earth. For the time being this kingdom is only in our hearts and minds. Yet one day it will be revealed to all. Then Christ will appear not only as the Savior of the world, but also as the legitimate ruler of it. So, till that happens you might see ungodly people succeeding in their ways and look seemingly happy. But do not be fooled. This success and happiness are temporary. Do not envy them, because their end is terrible. Put your trust in God and wait for him patiently.
