Psalm 1:1-2: “Blessed
is the one who does not walk in
step with the wicked or stand in the way that
sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in
the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his
law day and night.”
I and
hope you want to be blessed. Most people probably desire that. And the psalmist
says here that it is possible. There are certain conditions though. They aren’t
too difficult to meet. We have to turn away from certain things and embrace
certain things. What are we expected to avoid? Walking on the path of the
wicked and enjoying their company. What are we expected to embrace? We must
delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on it daily.
If you
stay from the former and follow the latter you are promised great things. You
will prosper, be protected, be always fruitful and …blessed.
