Psalm 27:14: “Wait for
the Lord; be strong and
take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Delayed
answers are like fire in our bones. It fire tortures us and tests our character
as well as our faith in God. It also tests our patience and it either
strengthens or weakens. However, the biggest lesson that we learn during these
times is to wait upon the Lord. This is how we learn to get rid of other
sources of support and put our God as the first and last resource for help.
That’s when his true Lordship in our lives is tested. Do we search for human
help when answers from God are delayed? Maybe we do, but let us not stop
waiting upon the Lord. He is faithful and answer will come.
