“And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is
the word of God” Ephesians 6:17.
Helmet
of salvation protects your head and your thinking. We are given a promise that
we shall be saved and this protects our hope about the future. We can feel
safe, because we are going to our eternal home and stay with our heavenly Father
forever.
The
sword is the weapon of offense. We attack our enemy with it. It pierces
darkness, brings light and freedom to the captives and also shows the path we
have to go.
