“For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the
flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called“ 1 Corinthians
1:26.
Accepting one’s sinfulness is a challenge.
Acknowledging that you need a Savior and help requires humility. Not every
worldly wise, mighty and noble person can admit that he is spiritually weak,
poor and even blind. Therefore, you might find very few people in the Church
who are “stars” by worldly standards. Of course, anyone can convert and get
saved, but it is much harder for those who have a huge baggage that is full of
human values and none of the godly ones. Let’s admit our spiritual poverty and
strengthen our calling.
