Jesus Took the Form of a Servant

But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men” Philippians 2:7.

The King of Kings and Savior came to His people (Israel) and they did not recognize Him. There are a number of reasons why, but the main one will probably be that they expected Him to come like a real king with political power. He did not bring that at the time. Christ came as a servant. He was born in a manger with a poor family, not in the king’s house. He is King, but not with a worldly heart. He is different from others. His heart is full of love and compassion, not pride and indifference. That’s the type of King I want to serve!
