"Dear friends, I urge you, as foreigners and exiles, to abstain from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul" 1 Peter 2:11.
This planet is only a temporary place for us. Our home is not here. Our souls long for a real home, which is heaven. If you are a stranger somewhere, you behave in a specific way. That specific way for us Christians here on earth would be to abstain from sinful desires and search for a perfect will of God in our lives. We are supposed to be different and not conform to this world.
Everyone of us have a fight to fight, which is not easy as our flesh longs for the things that are earthly. Yet, as I stated in my previous post, we have a new nature and the Spirit of God living in us that helps us in our struggle. Let's not give up fighting even if we fail again and again. Christ is our example. He conquered the world, and so can we. Let's live like foreigners and exiles on this earth and work to reveal Christ to those who do not know Him yet.
