Mind of Christ

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus” Philippians 2:5.

If we want to be like Christ we will have to adopt His way of thinking and the attitudes that He has. Reading the gospels, listening to Christ’s words and watching His actions will help us to see how He thinks and what attitudes He has. Then we can start imitating Him and eventually become like He is. Of course, we have to like that type of thinking and those kinds of attitudes that Christ had. If we don’t, there is very little chance that we ever become like Him.

Christian Unity

“Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment” 1 Corinthians 1:10.

We may be preoccupied with creating Christian unity. Is that possible at all? It is! One way of speaking (the subject), no quarreling (about secondary things), the same way of thinking (on spiritual subjects) and the same judgment (again on the matter of the Word of God)! Of course, we must be filled with the same Spirit of Christ, have His mind and His attitudes. Then, and only then we can be united.
