Today I want to look at Genesis 4:7: “If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it. (NIV)”
There is no neutral territory in this life. We either do good or bad. It can’t be both or none. We either have God in our hearts or sin reigns in us. God challenges us and encourages us to rule over our sins and sinful natures. We make a decision how to behave. Let us not be slaves to sin, but rule over it. Let God help us to do it.
