Galatians 5:24: “Those who belong to
Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
Christians want to live
the way God wants them to. It means rejecting sinful things and doing God’s
will. What does that mean to reject sinful things? It is an attitude. When you
are suddenly overpowered by some lustful thought or emotion of anger you should
consider yourself to be dead to those things and alive only to godly things. If
you have such an attitude your flesh is really crucified with all of its
passions, lusts and sinful desires. Then you can freely do the will of God and
it is not difficult.
