Psalm 4:8: “In peace I will
lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.”
I know that people try to gain peace and
security by different means. Some take to the bottle to relieve daily stress,
others put their trust in money in order to get security. Others try to build
relationships and friendships. What makes you lie down and sleep in peace?
Where is your security? The psalmist found it in the Lord. Shouldn’t we make
Him our safety too? He never lets us down. Money, friends, real estate, drugs
and etc. will at some point disappoint us. God never will. If you have put your
trust in Him!
