„The disciple is not above his master, nor
the servant above his lord“ Matthew 10:24.
Jesus called us to
be a lot of things...Well, maybe not things, but to be: God‘s children, His
servants, believers, saints, fishermen of men, His slaves, His bride, salt of
the World, to be like Him and to be....His disciples. Those who follow Him,
learn from Him. He is our Teacher and we are His pupils. Therefore, it is of
uttermost importance to read the gospels and particularly the words of Jesus.
They are direct God‘s voice to us. Our Savior, not just saved us and left us to
dry. No, He called us to follow Him. Jesus is our Master. We have to learn from
Him. He is above us We cannot be above
Him, but we can learn from Him and as a result be like Him. That is God‘s plan
for us. Let the Holy Spirit guide us in the path of Jesus, so that we may
resemble Him better day by day, week by week, month by month, year by year and
to keep on doing till the day of our departure from this earth.
