God the Father

"Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” John 20:17.

In the Old Testament God revealed Himself to His people by a variety of names. The names indicated some specific quality of God. For example, God Almighty, Lord, the Lord who heals, the Lord provider, the Lord who sanctifies, the Lord our Peace, and etc. It is good to know what our God is like. Studying the Bible helps us to do that. Yet, above other names, Jesus came and revealed God as the Father, or Daddy God.

And that is exactly who God becomes to you when you repent of your sins and believe Jesus. God becomes your Daddy. What kind of image arise in your head when you hear the word? Do you feel fear or peace and joy? God is a good Daddy, who loves every one of his kids, cares about them, provides for them, forgives and does a lot of other good things. Daddy God invites you into family type of relationship. You do not have to be scared of Him as His intentions for you are only good. You can open your heart to Him and tell Him everything that troubles you and He will listen to you and give peace, joy, heal your soul. Remember, you can always come to Him. He is always there for you. He is your Daddy. You are His kid. Welcome to the family of Daddy God.
